Food: Our Mini Schnauzers are on Royal Canin small or medium breed puppy. Depending on age and size of puppy.

There is no Miracle food! Stick to high quality brands (these usually cost more).

When we sell the puppy to you we will give you a sample of the food he is currently eating. This sample contains enough food for at least a few days. If you would like to keep the same brand of food it will be provided or if you wish to change his/her food you should do so gradually. Mixing the current food with the new food and gradually (every day) mixing less of the old food and more of the new food for at least 5 days. After, follow the directions written on the back of the food bag. Different amounts of food is required with different types of food depending on your puppy's size.

Here all our puppies are free fed. It is important for them to get started on a feeding schecdule 2-3 days after arriving home. Until puppy is completely settled in.

Age and Feeding scedule:

7weeks -12weeks. 4 times a day
3months - 6months 3times a day
6 months and over - 2 times a day

Recipes

When you bring a puppy to a new home he will be stressed for at least the part of 1 day... and this in extreme cases can last up to 2 weeks... It's normal he/she doesn't know what's going on... Should your puppies stress be high enough he/she may develop diarrhea... This is usually for 1 or 2 stools only however this recipe helps the stomach while providing a treat for your pup or dog... This recipe works wonders on adult dog's with diarrhea as well. You will need 3 ingredients...

1. Rice
2. Hamburger meat
3. Nature Yogurt (not plain, vanilla or anything else than NATURE YOGURT)
Note: Do not mess with the recipe, not all human food is good for a dog.... NEVER put spices in a puppy's or dog's food... while some spices are good for humans they can be toxic to dog's... NO SALT NO PEPPER they are useless items for the dog's health... (Unless otherwise told by your vet)

Cooking directions...

- Cook Hamburger meat until fully cooked and brake meat off in small pieces...
- Cook rice according to rice directions except that you put more water in the end rice should not be dry like normal rice there should be water remaining...... (Normal rice only "WHITE RICE") uncle Benz 5 minute quick rice works great...
- Mix Meat and Rice together and add yogurt to the mix put in enough yogurt to cover meat and rice and keep mixing until all is covered... Give to dog slowly and allow for digestion... Watery rice will help hydrate him while the yogurt is good for the stomach... Replace 2 meals with this and then you can give in addition to regular food for the following few days. Since this food tastes better for them it may be better to give after a regular meal or mix it with the regular food.

Potty Training

Here are a few pointers for potty training

1. Always catch him/her on the spot! 30 seconds later is too late and the puppy will NOT UNDERSTAND why it is being punished.
2. NEVER ever let him/her see you pick up the mess... If you pick it up and he/she sees you then he/she will think it's ok to go there...
3. Never put the dog's nose in the feces or urine, this is toxic and can cause bad diarrhea meaning even more feces everywhere...
4. Tone of voice is crucial, even though you may not want to be mean to a cute tiny small puppy you must be firm in your tone of voice to punish him/her, being soft only encourages the puppy thus reversing training this can prolong training indefinitely if left untreated. Don't forget a puppy doesn't understand much of what you are saying, he/she will rely on your tone of voice to know if what he/she is doing is right or wrong.
5. It takes time and consistency to train a puppy, even if after trying for 2 weeks the puppy still doesn't understand do not change your training habits or you are starting from scratch, everything should be a repeat until he/she is trained. For example training your puppy to go on the potty pad... until your puppy goes on the pad do not change the pads location, do not change your words or tone of voice when scolding him/her, just keep going at it until the puppy finally understands.

Shipping information:

By car: If you live close enough we can meet at a specified location so you can get your puppy. Or depending on your address I may be able to get to puppy to your home. Note: We cannot bring a puppy to show you, car travel stresses a puppy and we cannot bring puppies in case they are sold. You can pay the balance owing for the puppy by cash or certified check on delivery, however we must have an initial deposit before we will ship. (Puppy must be reserved). If you want to see the puppy before purchasing him you can contact us and schedule an appointment to visit our puppies.

Airplane:  Puppy and shipping must be paid in full before we ship... We bring a puppy in a crate (Crate is provided in shipping price) to the airport, The puppy is then loaded as (Live animal cargo) on the airplane, the crate is strapped to the plane so it does not move in case of any turbulence. depending on flight length food may not be provided during flight to prevent any nausea/vomiting. You should feed your puppy as soon as you have him/her on arrival. Or on longer flights we will provide a small amount of food for the puppy so he/she does not go hungry during flight. Water is always provided for the puppy on any flight, during long flights the Airline will fill up the water bowl of the puppy.  Airplane shipping prices can go from 150-450$ depending on location. Contact us with your 2 choices of airport... #1 the closest... and let us know the name and erea and we will get back to you with the exact price of shipping. We do charge a bit more then the actual shipping cost since we buy a crate and we drive at least 1 hour to the airport.

You must be patient if you choose this shipping method. THIS IS NOT FEDEX!!® If temperature is too hot or too cold we can and will refuse to ship and the flight would be rescheduled. - There are few available shipping locations left for the USA, even more are only seasonal (meaning flights are only available after April 1st.)  we do not accept a deposit if we cannot be sure you will be able to receive the puppy. If you send a deposit for a puppy without checking for shipping first you are responsible for picking up the puppy. Our address is provided in our Contact Us section. If available you can enquire about your own flight - you can schedule a flight and we can bring the puppy to you at the airport in person, then you get on a return flight back home with the puppy on the plane with you, (you must make your own arrangements for flight and you must MAKE SURE a puppy will be accepted on the plane. This is also good if you want to comfort the puppy during travel.  Note airport should be Ottawa or Montreal Trudeau international airport.

Pricing and Payments

Please note: All US FUNDS Including Certified Checks and Money orders are subject to a 22 business day hold by the bank before we have access to the funds. If you send a US check or money order it will take up to 22 business days until you can receive your puppy. To avoid any delays Paypal offers instant money transfers and also Interac email money transfers also offer almost instant money transfer. Please view table below.

Deposit rules:

All Deposits are NON-Refundable unless "WE" can no longer offer the puppy you had reserved. If you change your mind about getting a puppy then the deposit is non-refundable. Be sure you are ready for a new puppy before sending us a deposit.

To hold a puppy a deposit must be between 300$ to 500$. Pricing is in both US or Canadian funds. If you are located in the USA then price will be in US funds. If you are in Canada then price will be in Canadian Funds. This includes the WHOLE cost of the puppy. When we cash a US check the bank charges fee's and with today's exchange rates it comes up to about the same thing. Note: With the US currently currently dropping in the future there may be an exchange rate applied. Currently the difference in still to minimal to impact pricing for our US customers.

We do not accept deposits without notice, please verify the puppy's availability with us before sending us a deposit. If you do not ask first then you could be sending a deposit for a puppy which is already reserved. Email us or call us to know availability of a certain puppy.
